Hints on completing the Self Perception Inventory
1. The purpose of Belbin assessments is not to measure skills or ability but to help
you identify your natural workplace behavioural tendencies and how you interrelate
with other people or contribute to a team.
2. When completing the inventory please
focus on your work situation, rather than a social environment.
3. Please read the
statement at the top of each section carefully before allocating points.
4. Points
should be allocated in a way that describes your natural preferences rather than
what is required of you because of the job constraints, if the two are different.
5. It should take you no more 15-20 minutes to complete the Self Perception Inventory.
Complete the Belbin Self Perception Inventory by proceeding as follows:
- Go to http://www.belbin.com/Emailing/EmailInput-1.htm and enter in the Serial Number box: 000110BW (Note: Use the number "0" not the letter "O" when entering this serial number) and in the Password/Supervisor Key box enter the password ACCRED.
- Click Next.
- Click on the Self Perception button.
- Complete all fields on the next page and then click Next and follow the instructions for completing the Self Perception Inventory.

When completing the Self Perception Inventory please use the following convention for each field: Capital letter for the first letter and lower case for the rest. For example: Watson Barrie
